Tips for Toddler Behaviour

Tips for Toddler BehaviourHere are some tips about children's behaviour and especially that of toddlers:

Be aware that the toddler is exploring the world and too many 'NOs' may have a negative effect on their natural curiosity.

Try and create situation where the child can safely explore and discover where there is no need to have to say 'NO'

Make known the result of her behaviour in a way that is understandable. For instance if the child pulls your hair don't scold but show by your face that that hurts and it is not something you like and gently tell her that it does hurt. This creates empathy

Do not reward bad behaviour. Do not give in when the child is doing something you don't like.
Explain, to the best you can to their level of understanding, why some behaviours are not acceptable.
