Choosing Child Care for Toddlers - 18 months to 3 years

A toddler's needs at child care, are similar in most aspects to that of the younger baby. Ideally there should be a low carer to child ratio and as this is a time when a child is starting to test its boundaries, the carers should be prepared to assist them understand their surroundings and its limitations.
The carers need to have lots of patience and energy. Home based care such as a nanny should provide all this however one advantage a care center offers is a chance for the toddler to socialize.
Care centers may also be able to provide a wider range of activities for an inquisitive toddler discovering the world.
